Meet Ukraine

A vineyard basks in the autumn sunlight in Crimea, a peninsula in the south of Urkaine. In December 2012 National Geographic named Crimea one of the top 20 “must see” places in the world for 2013.
The Carapathians Moutains in Lviv, Ukraine are a destination for skiers, riders, and other extreme sports enthusiasts. The Ukrainian government recently announced it will be preparing Lviv as a candidate for hosting the Winter Olympic Games in 2022.

Small scale farming is carried out near the town of Turka, in the foothills of the Carapathian Mountains. According to the USDA, just over 2/3 of Ukraine’s area is classified as agricultural land. Wheat, barley, and corn are the countries primary crops.
